Jason Anfinsen is a seasoned broadcaster, radio personality, speciality show host, voiceover artist, and events emcee.
Anfinsen has screamed into microphones on alternative music music stations across the country.
Seminole State College of Florida students in the Radio-Television program produced this interview on me and my evolution from radio host to academic librarian for their class project; "From Wild To Academic." The talented crew cobbled together vintage footage and produced a wonderful interview video. Shout out to these filmmakers, library supporters, and SSC Raiders.
Broadcasting career began at Palm Beach Gardens High School

Completed the Radio Broadcasting & Production program at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting (now CSB Media Arts Center).
Operated studio cameras and served as Audio Operator at the PBS member station WXEL-TV during membership drives, commercials, and taped segments for WXEL Productions.
Hired as an audio board operator on 103.1 The Buzz in his hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida when the station signed on in 1995.
Became MEATHEAD, co-host, and producer of South Florida’s #1 show, The Morning Buzz.
Interviewed all the notable bands and artists of the 90s, including Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Iggy Pop, and Oasis.
Broadcasted from the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
Served as host of the first two Buzz Bake Sale festival concerts in South Florida.
Left The Buzz and his native West Palm Beach for NYC in the fall of 1998.
Worked as production assistant at Late Night with Conan O’Brien at NBC in New York City.
Contributed to Late Night’s 5 Year Anniversary Show as a general production staff member and direct assistant for Mr. O’Brien.
Worked with two prominent program directors in the alternative format - Phil Manning and Lazlo Geiger - while at KNDD-fm 107.7 The End in Seattle.
"ANFINSEN!" could be heard screaming across Seattle as a weekend host, morning show on-the-street reporter, and holiday & swing shift fill-in jock for afternoons and nights.
Joined the legendary Indie 103 radio station in Los Angeles as an on-air radio personality during its last year of existence as the coolest station on the planet.
Anfinsen was was on the mic every weekend and holiday as a show host, and served as a fill-in jock for all day parts, under program director Max Tolkoff.
Returned to the South Florida airwaves in 2009 as “Meathead,” the evening host of Buzz After Dark, until the station pulled the plug and changed formats after a groundbreaking and historic 16-year run in December 2011.
Jason dedicated nearly five years to WPTV NewsChannel 5 in West Palm Beach, serving first as a studio camera operator, and later as an associate news producer, responsible for writing news scripts, creating graphics, and editing digital video segments.
